Morden Hall is an exquisite country house entirely dedicated to weddings. Set within 125 acres of National Trust parkland in south London, we invite you to enjoy all that this inspirational venue has to offer, from elegant ceremony rooms to exceptional dining spaces and picturesque gardens.
Dating back to the 18th Century, Morden Hall was lovingly restored in 2015, bringing this fine venue in to the present day with meticulous design to create a calm, relaxing environment. Every space has been designed with weddings in mind, from the luxurious bridal changing suite to the light-filled ceremony rooms, the stylish bar and the impressive Mulberry Room which seats up to 150 for your wedding breakfast. We pride ourselves in creating your perfect, bespoke wedding day, whether you plan an intimate celebration with 50 guests on a cosy winters evening, or a lavish event with 150 on a mid-summer afternoon.
Morden Hall is licensed for ceremonies in three of its rooms. At the very heart of the house, Willow seats up to 120 and features a dramatic staircase and large doors opening on to the gardens. As with every room in the house, period features are highlighted by a tranquil colour scheme while contemporary details and pops of colour add to the design. Hawthorn Room, an elegant drawing room, is the perfect setting for smaller ceremonies while Mulberry Room with its stunning vaulted ceiling can accommodate larger numbers.
Following your ceremony, you might choose to enjoy the venue’s private gardens. Amongst the bustling suburbs of south London, it’s hard to believe such tranquillity exists. Here, within the National Trust parkland, Morden Hall has its own North Lawn, an idyllic spot upon which to enjoy drinks or even a few afternoon games beside the meandering River Wandle. And, as the sun goes down, your evening party can commence. At Morden Hall, we work with the talented chefs from Galloping Gourmet, creating bespoke menus to suit the style of your day. While many couples enjoy a fine dining experience for their wedding breakfast, the evening celebration is your opportunity to enjoy a less formal, more theatrical alternative. Perhaps you might choose to serve cocktails alongside fire-pit barbecues or wood-fired pizza ovens on the North Lawn, or even have live food stations in the house itself?
However you wish to celebrate your wedding, at Morden Hall, the possibilities are endless.
