Situated just outside of Oakham overlooking Rutland water, Barnsdale Hall Hotel is an old hunting lodge that was built in 1890 for Earl Fitzwilliam. Now the lodge houses the main reception of the hotel and along with its 65 acres of land housing accommodation, function rooms and leisure facilities, Barnsdale is a perfect place to celebrate your day.
Barnsdale Hall’s main function suite is the Edith Weston Suite. Located just a short walk from the Hall, it is a self-contained building that can cater up to 160 guests for a formal dinner and up to 200 guests for a buffet, making it perfect for weddings. The terrace and garden area overlook the picturesque views of Rutland water – ideal for a drinks reception or an outdoor wedding ceremony under the beautiful ivory gazebo.
The second largest room, the Lakeview room, is situated in the leisure block and hosts up to 80 guests (120 for a buffet). This room has its own private bar and dance floor as the Edith Weston does, however does not benefit from the beautiful views as the main Suite. There is a small terrace to the rear of the room where guests can enjoy drinks.
There are three rooms licensed for civil ceremonies rooms and we can also cater for the more intimate weddings in our Osprey restaurant or Rutland room for up to 60 guests.
